Some of the former national 15's rugby coaches who are staying in the country are yet to show their interest in applying for the vacant head coach position for the Flying Fijians.

1999 Rugby World Cup coach, Brad Johnstone, 2003 mentor, Mac Macallion and 2007 coach, Ilivasi Tabua are three of the former coaches who have worked with the national side in the past tournaments.

Johnstone had already indicated that he can assist in a strategic role but he had said that he cannot take up a full time coaching position.

Tabua who still has the court decision pending on his compensation issue based on his unfair dismissal from FRU has said that he cannot say anything at this stage as the matter remains before the court.

Former 15s captain, Greg Smith has applied for the post.

Applications close on Tuesday.
