These are the words of former Vice President Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi addressing teachers at the opening of the Fijian Teachers Association Annual General Meeting held at the Tattersals Leisure Centre this morning.
The FTA AGM had the theme " Contemporary Views on Indigenous Issues" for this year, which was deemed by the Bauan High Chief as highly appropriate especially after the coup of December 5th 2006.
The opening was attended by ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase, Rewa High Chief Ro Teimumu Kepa, Qaranivalu Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, former Interim Minister, Poseci Bune, SDL National Director Peceli Kinivuwai and members of the Diplomatic Corp.
The AGM will end on the 2nd of May.
