The Former Roko Tui Rewa Savenaca Kamikamica who has been charged with two counts of obtaining goods by false pretense and larceny by servant, pleaded not guilty after his charges were re-read in High Court today.

When the case was called in the Magistrate Court earlier, Kamikamica facing the charge of larceny by servant had asked for the matter to be transferred to the High Court. He signed fresh bail bond today.

Judge Justice Daniel Goundar told FICAC that certain words on the charges have to be made clear so the accused can understand it.

The case has been adjourned till 14th August.

It is alleged that in 2005, between May 11th to 24th December, Kamikamica obtained goods from Suncourt Hardware saying they were required by Rewa Provincial Council Office under the Development Assistance Scheme, however the items taken were for personal use.

The Fijian Affairs Board allocates money for the Development Assistance Scheme yearly to the Provincial Councils for development projects.
