A former labour parliamentarian in the Collision government in 2000 coup has shared his experience during the May 2000 coup.

As we mark eight years since the upheavals on May 19th, 2000 when George Speight led a civilian coup and removed the People's Coalition Government, Ragho Nand said he was released after a few days however the ousted Prime Minister and some other ministers were still held hostage for 56 days.

Nand said it was a very sad day for Fiji.
