The abuse of office case against former NLTB Executives Kalavati Bakani, Keni Dakuidreketi and Alanieta Vakatale is now set for hearing from May 2nd, 2011.
High Court Judge Justice Daniel Gounder, after consulting with the counsels also set a pre-trial conference date starting from December 3rd this year.
The trio are facing counts of Fraudulent Conversion and Abuse of Office.
It is alleged that they had between the 31st day of March 2004 to 10th day of November 2005, conspired together and with others to effect an unlawful purpose namely the defrauding of the Native Land Trust Board of its Trust Funds valued at $3.7 million and Government Grant valued at $1 million by causing the payments of these funds to support a defunct Information Technology System called MYSAP.
