A former minister in the SDL government this morning appeared in court on corruption related charges.
George Shiu Raj appeared in the Rakiraki court charged with giving false information to a public servant.
Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC)Spokesperson Maraia Vavaitamana confirmed Shiu Raj's appearance in Court and added he was released subject to certain conditions.
Vavaitamana confirmed FICAC did not object to his release subject to Shiu Raj not interfering with witnesses and not leaving the country.
More details will be released as information comes to hand.
