Those charged with the attempted murder of former Lord Mayor of Suva, Chandu Umaria, pleaded not guilty in High Court today before Judge Justice Nazhat Shameem this morning.
Nalini Devi Shankar, Umaria's wife, Ravikash Vishal Nand, Praneel Ravinesh Prasad, Imran Hussein and Niko Biumaiwasa pleaded not guilty while three of the accused, Prasad, Hussein and Buimaiwasa were told by Justice Shameem to plead not guilty as they did not have legal representation.
She informed them to find legal representation before the next court date.
The matter has been adjourned to Thursday next week.
