Former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee has been laid to rest with full military honours.
Mukherjee the former President of India and Bharat Ratna, passed away at 84 after battling a long illness.
He was one of India’s most respected leaders across the political spectrum. The former president is survived by two sons and a daughter.
President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his residence and paid their last respects. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi too paid his last respects at Pranab Mukherjee's home.
