The case of two former officials of the Fisheries Ministry charged in relation to the Fisheries Scam was called in court today.
However, Judge Justice Nazhat Shameem adjourned the case to next Tuesday to set a hearing date after Vuetasau Buatoka and Maciu Ligabalavu did not appear in court after there was a misunderstanding between both the counsels regarding the date.
Buatoka has been charged with two counts of abuse of office while Ligabalavu is charged with one count of abuse of office.
The two are alleged to have issued fishing licenses without following proper procedures.
