Former Fiji Broadcasting Corporation Limited Board members, Daniel Whippy and Champak Kapadia this afternoon appeared before Chief Magistrarte Ajmal Gulab Khan charged with obtaining money under false pretenses.

The two have been charged by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.

Chief Magistrate Khan heard that the two allegedly procured $1.03 million from Westpac Bank on the 19th of March 2004 with intent to defraud.

The two pleaded not guilty to the charges and were told to appear in Court on the 1st of next month for mention.

They were released on a $7,000 bail each and were told to inform Police or FICAC if they plan to leave the country before their next hearing.
