Former Fiji Broadcasting Cooperation Chairman Daniel Whippy and Deputy Chairman Champak Kapadia appeared in the Suva Magistrates court this morning.

The two earlier pleaded not guilty to a charge of obtaining money by false pretences after they were charged by FICAC.

FICAC today provided further disclosures and the case is adjourned to August 3rd when a trial date is expected to be set.

FICAC alleges that Whippy and Kapadia in March 2004 with intent to defraud procured the offer of an advance of $1.03 million from Westpac Bank for FBCL, on the basis of a fictitious resolution.
