A former Commanding officer of the Fiji Military Forces in Labasa is now under police investigation for alleged corruption, abuse of office and alleged abuse of funds.
Divisional Crime Officer Northern, ASP Luke Rawalai confirmed that the officer was the Acting General Manager of the Rewa Rice Company Limited in Labasa when the alleged incident took place.
The former officer allegedly used more than $50,000 from the Rewa Rice Company Limited for his personal gain.
He has been removed from his position.
According to ASP Rawalai they are awaiting the Audit Report from the Rewa Rice Company Limited before questioning the former officer.
