A former Assistant Minister implicated in a nursing school intake is now under police investigation.

It is alleged that the former Assistant Minister, together with a man who acted as his agent, allegedly received more than $20,000 from more than 20 people, promising them a place in the Fiji School of Nursing.

The alleged incident took place in 2004 and 2005.

The matter was reported to police when the people who gave money did not have their names in the FSN intake list.

A team has been set up by the Labasa Police to investigate the allegations.
