Former National 7's Manager, Usaia Daunivalu appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court charged with one count of abuse of office.
Daunivalu appeared before Magistrate Vani Navono, but declined making a plea saying he would wait for legal counsel and the matter was adjourned to the 25th of next month.
It is alleged that Daunivalu on the 19th of December, 2003 while working for the Water Supply Department, wrote off a $300,000 account debt owed by CIG gas without any approval.
FICAC prosecutor Paul Madigan did not object to the $500 bail but asked the Court that Daunivalu not leave the country and to inform FICAC if there are any changes to his residential address.
