Even though they are relatively new to Super Rugby the rivalry between the Force and the Rebels is fairly strong and the Rebels finished higher than the Force last year, but not by much.

The two sides will kick off the 2013 super rugby season tonight with the Rebels finishing last season in 13th place having won four of their 16 matches and the Force finished in 14th place with three wins out of 16 matches.

Scott Higginbotham is the biggest name to join the Rebels this year while Nathan Sharpe, Rory Sidey, James Stannard and Cameron Shepherd left the Force and they even have a new coach in Michael Foley.

Both teams will have several new players who are making either their Super Rugby or team debut so there should be no shortage of early nerves.

The Force will take on the Rebels at 8:40pm tonight while the Brumbies will play the Reds at 8.40pm tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Crusaders beat the Waratahs 16-14 in their preseason warm up match last night.
