New Zealand 7s Rugby captain DJ Forbes will be going into the Rugby World Cup and this time be putting his best foot forward.

Forbes who survived a grueling fitness test with coach Gordon Tietjens earlier in the week, though he was spotted with a heavily bandaged knee, revealed that during the Wellington leg of the IRB 7s series, he forced himself to play after fracturing his foot and straining his calf.

But the All Blacks stalwart said this Tournament is important for him as the side had not won a single tournament in the Series and would like to end the losing streak.

Forbes is joined by try scoring powerhouse Tomasi Cama Jnr and Victor Vito who were both out due to injuries during the New Zealand 7s in Wellington.

The RWC 7s starts next Friday and New Zealand has been drawn in Pool A with Tonga, Italy and the Arabian Gulf.
