Known as the Cunning Fox in his days with Ba soccer, former Ba and Fiji soccer great, Farouk Janeman has passed away.

Janeman who immensely contributed to soccer in the country as a player, coach and administrator passed away at the Ba Mission hospital last night.

59-year-old Janeman was just unstoppable in the penalty box area playing for Ba.

He played for the Men in Black from 1970 to 1986 and during this time Ba won the IDC title nine times.
 
Fiji Football Association CEO, Bob Kumar said Janeman’s contribution to Fiji soccer is huge.
 
 
Meanwhile, the Oceania Football Confederation has paid tribute to Janeman saying Fiji and Oceania is saddened to learn of the passing away of Fiji football icon Farouk Janeman.

OFC General Secretary Tai Nicholas said Janeman’s loss would be felt throughout the region.

Janeman who was appointed the Fiji Football Association’s National Technical Director few years ago will be laid to rest today.
