The recipients of the Government's $30 food voucher programme will now be able to redeem the family assistance and cash vouchers at designated Post Offices around the country.

The Social Welfare Ministry and Post Fiji met this week following the Bua Provincial Council meeting where it was highlighted that the recipients found it difficult to exchange cash vouchers at post offices.

Acting Permanent Secretary Govind Sami said they met with Post Fiji Chief Executive Officer Joape Kuinikoro and stressed that Post Fiji has a Memorandum of Agreement with the Ministry in which they have agreed to redeem all the cash vouchers including Family Allowance and the Cash Food Vouchers.

Sami said it has also been agreed that if the recipients want to buy items from Post Fiji they can do so and no one can force them from buying items from Post Fiji.
