The President of the Fiji Principals Association believes that that all teachers and principals should follow the guidelines set by the Education Ministry when it comes to corporal punishment.
Abhay Prasad said that the rules have been clearly laid down and this needs to be followed and that is that corporal punishment is not allowed in schools.
He said there should be research done to find out about the changes in students behaviour after the court abolished corporal punishment in schools.
