A late Israel Folau try secured the Waratahs a crucial 21-15 victory over the Stormers in Sydney last night.

Folau exploited a gap in the Stormers defense and beat two defenders from close range to score what proved to be the match winning try in the 77th minute.

The Stormers were leading 15-11.

The result is the first Waratahs victory over the Stormers in four matches as the last Waratahs win was in April 2009.

The Waratahs scored all of the tries in the match while the Stormers had to rely on Joe Pietersen’s boot for their points.

Meanwhile, in other results last night, the Blues beat the Rebels 36-32 while the Kings won over the Highlanders 34-27 this morning.
