Police are investigating the discovery of a foetus in the Rewa River earlier this afternoon.
Divisional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Ramesh Chand confirms the foetus was seen floating near Verata at midday today.
He said the foetus was taken to Nausori hospital where the doctors confirmed that it was born 6 months pre-mature.
Chand has also asked the members of the public to help Police in locating the mother of the baby.
