The Flying Fijians will be the first team to arrive in New Zealand for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Assistant Manager Talemo Waqa in a talkback show on our sister station Viti FM confirmed this saying the side will leave for Nadi on Sunday and fly out on Monday

Waqa added they will stay in Fukatani for a week to adapt to the weather before leaving for the team home base for the RWC in Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty region.

Fiji’s first game is against Namibia on the 10th of next month.

Fiji is in Pool D with defending champion South Africa, Samoa, Wales and Namibia.
