Flying Fijians to play France
Fiji Rugby Union head coach, Samu Domoni Jnr said that the preparation for the tour has started today but unfortunately, under the IRB regulation they will have to meet up with the rest of the squad on the 7th of next month.
This means that the 7 local based players will prepare at home with the likes of Graham Dewes, Campese Ma'afu, Tuapati Talemaitoga, Malakai Ravulo, Ifereimi Rawaqa and Semisi Naevo who will be in the country to prepare for the tour while the rest of the 16 boys will join the team in France.
Earlier today, Domoni said that they have decided to name most of the overseas based players in this tour to give them a chance to prove themselves for next year's World Cup.
He added the local players have shown their capability during the Pacific Nation Cup and will be prepare for the Fiji Warriors game against Melbourne Rebel and NSW Waratahs.
Fiji's opening game in the Europe tour is against France on the 13th of next month.
