The Flying Fijians will get stiff competition in the first quarter of the rugby season this year when the team play's matches against Super 15 franchises.

Fiji will face top guns like Stirling Mortlock, Adam Freier Julian Huxley, English fly half Danny Cipriani, Welsh number eight Gareth Delve and All Black Greg Somerville in some of their matches.

Local based Flying Fijian players who are trying to cement their spot for the Rugby World cup will get a good opportunity to get tested with these highly rated players.

Fiji will also play the Waratahs as part of their Super Rugby warm up before taking on academy teams from the Brumbies, Crusaders, Chiefs and Blues.

The Flying Fijians will take on the Melbourne Rebels on the 29th of this month.

Meanwhile, the Rebels, led by former Wallabies coach Rod Macqueen, also meet Tonga with their final warm up match against the Canterbury Crusaders.
