The Flying Fijians will have to win against Samoa in their next match on Saturday next week, if they want to improve their standings on the Pacific Nations Cup points table.

After being hammered by the Junior All Blacks by 45-17 in their match on Thursday afternoon, the hosts have a tough task ahead of them against Samoa, taking into account that Samoa scored six tries in their win against Japan.

The Junior All Blacks lead the standings on nine points, having played two matches, Samoa, who lost by one point to the Junior All Blacks in their first PNC match, lie second with six points, and the Flying Fijians are third with five points.

The next round of matches takes place on Tuesday at Churchill Park, where Samoa meet Tonga before Japan faces the Junior All Blacks.

The Flying Fijians meet Samoa on the same ground on Saturday 27 June.
