The Flying Fijians team for the Pacific Nation Cup will be named on Friday.
Fiji Rugby Union Operation Manager Vilikesa Rinavuaka says that 28 players will be selected to represent Fiji for the PNC with the opening game against Samoa.
A number of local players like, Setefano Somoca, Penijamini Makutu, Leone Nakarawa, Samu Bola, Adriu Delai, Wise Vatuvoka and Ravai Fatiaki are likely to be also included in this team.
The rest of the 22 players will remain in camp to continue their preparation for the Rugby World Cup.
Assistant coach Shanon Fraser said that the local players have proved that they can also compete with their overseas counter-part.
The Flying Fijian opening PNC match is against Samoa on the 2nd of next month.
