Vodafone Flying Fijians and Ospreys utility back Josh Matavesi believes that they need to stay positive to be successful in the Rugby World Cup pool of death.
Matavesi, who turned down national duties in the 2011 RWC, was happy to be given another chance in this year’s World Cup.
The 24-year-old from Mualevu, Vanuabalavu, in Lau said they have been working to play the full 80 minute game of rugby.
Matavesi will be sharing the playmaker’s role with Crusaders bound Ben Volavola.
They will also share the kicking role with Nemani Nadolo.
The Flying Fijians will leave for England at the end of this month.
Fiji will play a warm up match against Canada on the 6th of next month before taking on England in Twickenham in the opening match of the Rugby World Cup at 7am Saturday 19th September.
Meanwhile, France beat England 25-20 in their World Cup warm up match over the weekend.
