The achievement of the Flying Fijians in reaching the quarterfinal of the Rugby World Cup four years ago was talked about again ahead of the announcement of the team to face Namibia this afternoon.
Manager Pio Bosco Tikoisuva who was part of the management team that reached the top 8 in 2007 told the players the importance of having faith in themselves to achieve the results.
Tikoisuva said that preparation has fallen into place with the players in top form to start their World Cup campaign on Saturday afternoon.
The Fiji team to play Namibia will be named at 2pm today with indications that Sisa Koyamaibole will not be in the 22-member team.
Koyamaibole has not joined the Fiji team as of yesterday with either Dominiko Waqaniburotu or Sakiusa Masi likely to start at number 8.
Koyamaibole had to rush to Fiji for an urgent meeting.
