The FMF Flying Fijians will be on a strict diet during the Rugby World Cup tournament in France.

Team manager Pio Bosco Tikoisuva confirms that he will look after the players and make sure they have a balance diet so that they remain in good shape and perform well in the tournament.

Tikoisuva said he will not allow the players to eat whatever they want which could increase their weight.

Tikoisuva said the supplies of other food items from Fiji such as Dalo and Cassava will take three weeks to reach the base camp in Moissac.

Meanwhile, the FMF Flying Fijians left for France yesterday without a chef.

Team manager Pio Bosco Tikoisuva said there is no need for a chef because there are 15 officials in the team that are also excellent cooks.

Tikoisuva said they will also have a chef at the place where the team will be camping.

FMF Flying Fijians reach France tomorrow and will have their warm-up games next week against the two of the Top 14 team's from French rugby.

The Rugby World Cup kicks off on September 8.
