Vodafone Flying Fijians Head Coach John McKee has named a strong side to prepare for the 2015 Pacific Nations Cup.
McKee says they have learnt a lot from their loss to the Maori All Blacks last Saturday.
Some of the forwards that have been included in the side are Campese Ma’afu, Peni Ravai, Joeli Veitayaki, Manasa Saulo, Isei Colati, Taniela Koroi, Leone Nakarawa, Dominiko Waqaniburotu and captain Akapusi Qera.
Crusaders star wing, Nemani Nadolo has also been included in the squad despite his early exit last Saturday and leaving the field with pain just before half‑time.
Some other backline players that have been named are Nikola Matawalu, Nemia Kenatale, Henry Seniloli, Ben Volavola, Josh Matavesi, Vereniki Goneva, Asaeli Tikoirotuma, Waisea Nayacalevu, Metuisela Talebula and Kini Murimurivalu.
The non travelling reserves are Jerry Yanuyanutawa, Lee Roy Atalifo, Jale Sassen, Api Naikatini, Nemani Nagusa, John Dyer, Serupepeli Vularika, Seremaia Bai, Benito Masilevu and Napolioni Nalaga.
The Vodafone Flying Fijians will face the “Ikale Tahi” Tonga in their first Pacific Nations Cup match at 3pm this Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
The team then travels to USA to play Samoa on Friday 24th July and onto Canada where they play Japan on July 29th.
