The Flying Fijians lost to the Springboks have brought a lot of concern among rugby fans that they will be their worst enemy in trying to secure a quarterfinal spot.

In a talk-back show on our sister station, Viti FM on Saturday night rugby fans highlighted that they did not expect the big score-line taking into account that this is one of the best ever prepared Fiji team.

They expressed their concern on the defense line in holding back when the South African were on attack and also they did not have a good kicking game from fullback.

The 32 missed tackle, 3 tight-head raises a lot of question in the coaching staff knowing that they have a scrum coach in the team.

Fiji will now need to beat Samoa this Sunday and Wales to book a quarterfinal spot.

Meanwhile, Heinrich Brüssow was fined after the Springboks' 49-3 victory over Fiji.

Back line coach Dick Muir said Brussow got fined for kicking, but because it turned out to be a try it was all good.

More renowned for his unique ability to secure turnover possession from the breakdown, Brüssow timed a rolling kick to perfection to set up a try for fullback Frans Steyn.

Brüssow insisted that the final score did not really tell the whole story of what happened on the field.

On Saturday at 8.30pm, New Zealand will meet France while the Boks face Namibia on Thursday at 8pm.

The Fiji and Samoa game kickoff on Sunday at 2.30pm and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Viti FM with the voice of rugby, Malakai Veisamasama and expert comments from former Wallaby and former Fiji player and 2007 RWC coach, Ilivasi Tabua.
