The Flying Fijians looks set to play against the All Blacks on July 22, Dunedin.

The New Zealand Rugby Union this past week announced the All Blacks would play an extra test on that day but did not reveal where and against whom.

Sources have confirmed Fiji and Dunedin have been all but confirmed as the opposition and venue in what will double as a grand opening for Dunedin's new stadium.

Samoa were asked, accepted and then rejected the offer, because they play Australia on July 16.

A game against New Zealand Maori, arguably a stronger and more marketable opposition, and the Baabaas, were also mooted but both options were shelved as they would cause too much disruption to an already truncated ITM Cup.

The All Blacks last played Fiji in 2005.

Fiji last played the All Blacks in 2005, where the Flying Fijians were grounded, 91 0.

In this match wing Sitiveni Sivivatu scored four tries.
