The Vodafone Flying Fijians have started their Pacific Nations Cup campaign on high with a 45-17 win over Tonga at Churchill Park this afternoon.
Nemani Nadolo registered 20 points alone for Fiji after he scored the second try, kicked six conversions and a penalty.
Watisoni Votu got an early try for Fiji in the 8th minute after continuous pressure on the Tonga defense.
Veteran winger, Sireli Bobo got his first and Fiji’s third try in the 30th minute as Fiji led 24-3 at half time.
Votu continued his fine form and reached the try-line yet again in the 50th minute.
Bobo got his second try for Fiji in the 78th minute while captain, Akapusi Qera also crossed the try-line in the 80th minute.
Watisoni Votu was also yellow carded in the second half.
