The Flying Fijians have dropped from 10th to 13th spot in their lowest ever standing in the International Rugby Board rankings.

After the 45-21 loss to Tonga in the Pacific Nations Cup opener last Saturday the Samu Domoni coached side is in 13th spot with their Pacific neighbors ahead of them in the ranking.

Tonga have moved from 16th to 12th place while Samoa have now taken over Fiji’s position at 10th after boosting their own rating on the back of a 34 15 victory over Japan.

Italy benefit from Fiji’s defeat with a one place rise to 11th to leave them sandwiched between Samoa and the Tongans.

New Zealand is still the number 1 ranked team followed by Australia and South Africa.

Fiji in their second PNC game this Saturday at 3.10pm will host Samoa at the TFL Stadium and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station Viti FM.
