Flying Fijians head coach Inoke Male is confident his side will beat Japan tomorrow in the Pacific Nations Cup.

During the captains run this morning, Male said this year is a special year for Fiji Rugby where rugby has been in our lives for 100 years.

The Flying Fijians have never won the Pacific Nations Cup since its inception and Male hopes for a better performance this year.

Meanwhile, fullback Simeli Koniferedi has been given 24 hours to recover before a decision will be made on who will replace him.

Aisea Natoga is highly likely to replace Koniferedi if he does not recover in time.

The team will leave for Lautoka at 3pm today and their jersey will be presented by the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau.

Fiji will play Japan at 3.40pm tomorrow at Churchill Park.
