Fiji’s Pacific Nations Cup title hopes received a major boost after the Flying Fijians beat USA 35-10 last night and then Japan defeated Canada 16-13.

This means that Fiji have to beat Tonga this Sunday to claim the PNC title as both teams have equal chances of winning the PNC.

Canada leads the points table with 13 points and have no more games to play, Fiji is second with 11 points and Tonga is third with 10 points.

Last night against USA the Flying Fijians ran in four tries to Nikola Matawalu, Timoci Nagusa, Sakiusa Matadigo and Nemia Kenatale.

Two tries were scored through turnovers from the scrum while Seremaia Bai converted three penalties and three conversions to have a personal tally of 15 points in the game.

The Flying Fijians will meet Tonga at 3:10pm this Sunday.
