Flying Fijians forwards coach and current Sydney University coach Greg Mumm is aiming for a World Cup showdown with the Wallabies next year in New Zealand.

Mumm will fly into Fiji next week to prepare for the team's three-Test tour of Europe next month, and will spend another 4 months in Fiji in the lead-up to next year's World Cup.

Speaking to "The Australian" newspaper in Sydney, Mumm said Fiji has already proved in the last World Cup in France that they can reach the quarter-finals, and if they reach that stage again in New Zealand, they have a chance of playing against the Wallabies.

Mumm added though they have a tough pool with South Africa, Wales, Samoa and Namibia, it would be good to play against Robbie Deans's men.

Fiji upset Wales in the 2007 World Cup and almost knocked out eventual champions South Africa in the quarter-final in Marseille.

The Flying Fijians team will assemble in France on November 6th and the first game against France is on November 14th.
