Police have arrested and charged an overseas based Flying Fijians wing, with Assault.
Divisional Police Commander, SSP Fesaitu Kava has confirmed that the player was arrested this morning and remains in police custody at the Lautoka Police Station.
It is alleged that he assaulted a Form 6 student after the Fiji versus New Zealand Maori match at Churchill Park Lautoka.
The player alleges that the student was trying to steal items from his bag, when he assaulted him.
He will be produced at the Lautoka Magistrates court this afternoon.
