Flying Fijians Assistant Coach Shannon Fraser is confident that   preparations for the Rugby World Cup is on track and they are doing their very best to get the best team across.

Fraser said at the moment they are not only concentrating on the fitness of the players, they are also covering aspects of recovery protocols, hydration and nutrition, player welfare and monitoring, injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies and logistical arrangements for the trip.

Fraser added that to achieve the best results in New Zealand, proper planning needed to take place.

The team management is also keeping a very close eye on overseas based players like Rupeni Caucau, Filimoni Delasau, Sireli Bobo, Norman Ligairi, Seru Rabeni and Vereniki Goneva to name a few.

Fiji is in Pool D at the World Cup with Namibia, Samoa, South Africa and Wales.

The Rugby World Cup in New Zealand gets underway on September 9th.
