Flash flooding is a huge problem and we should address it as soon as possible.
This is the view of the Interim Urban Development and Housing Minister, Lekh Ram Vayeshnoi.
In a statement, Vayeshnoi said seeing that flooding is not limited to Labasa or Nadi, much needs to be done in cleaning up the draining systems in towns such as Labasa, Nadi, Sigatoka and Ba.
However, he adds that he has not received any reports so far but adds that once he receives something he will draw up a plan that will be tabled before Cabinet to address the problem.
