Flooding Reported In Navua
Police confirm that Naitonitoni and Tokotoko back road are under one feet of flood waters while the Raiwaqa bridge in Navua is also flooded. Police are monitoring the situation.
Meanwhile, the heavy rain and poor drainage has led to flooding in the Wailoku flats. Resident Karun Datt said the roads in the area are now flooded.
The Nadi Weather Office Duty Forecaster said heavy rain is expected throughout today for Southern and Eastern parts of Viti Levu and continuous heavy rain is expected in some areas.
Meanwhile, a strong wind warning is in force for the Southern Lau group as Tropical Cyclone Hettie was located about 200 kilometers southeast of Ono-i-Lau and is moving south at 16 kilometers per hour.
The Tropical cyclone does not pose any direct threat to Fiji but will cause strong winds for the southern parts of the country.
