Flooding Closes Naitasiri Roads
It has been confirmed that the Naqali Bridge is under flood waters and has been closed from this hour.
The Sawani/Serea road is also closed.
Police and PWD are monitoring the situation and motorists have been called to take precautions.
Meanwhile, the Nadi Weather Office has issued a flashflood warning for low lying areas around the country as heavy rainfall is experienced in the Central and Eastern Division.
Duty forecasters said rainfall is also expected in the Western Division from later this morning as a trough of low pressure is lying to the north of Fiji.
It has been confirmed that flood waters on the Queens road just past Lami town has receded.
In Baulevu, the road past Kasavu is partially closed due to a landslide this morning.
Nausori police said heavy rainfall continues however no reports of flooding have been received.
Navua also has the same weather.
In Sigatoka, slight rain, while Nadi had a bit of drizzling last night and Lautoka is experiencing cloudy periods this morning.
People living in low lying areas are urged to take precautions.
