Flood waters in all parts of Nadi town have receded as rain stopped overnight.

No one was arrested for trying to cross the town during the curfew last night. The curfew period came to an end in the last hour and police will decide later today whether a curfew will be imposed again tonight.

Both the Queens and the Kings Highways are now open to all traffic however motorists have been urged to take precautions while using the roads this morning.

Meanwhile, DISMAC confirms that about 14 evacuation centers in the Eastern Division are still open and about 487 people are still taking shelter.

DISMAC Team Leader, Pajiliai Dobui said their assessments in the affected areas continue.
