Flood waters are receding at the Nadi Back Road and the bus stand as heavy rainfall has stopped.
Our reporter Gulsher Ali said some schools have been closed as a precautionary measure.
Meanwhile, Nadi Weather Office said an active trough of low pressure is still lying over the Fiji group, as heavy rain is expected for the whole of Fiji and flash flooding of low lying areas, rivers and streams is highly likely.
The Weather Office said people should expect this kind of weather for the next 36 to 48 hours.
