The Nadi Weather Office has warned that there is a possibility of flooding of low lying areas in the Central/Eastern and Western Divisions as a trough of low pressure moves slowly over the Fiji group.

Director Rajendra Prasad said heavy rain is forecast for Navua, Suva and Nausori in the Central Division and Nadi, Lautoka and Ba in the Western Division and people living in the low lying areas are advised to take precautions as flooding is possible.

Prasad adds this weather is expected to continue for the next three days.

Meanwhile, there are reports of heavy rainfall in some parts of the country however there are no reports of flooding.
