The Nadi Weather Office said the flash flood warning for low lying areas is still in place however the current rainy weather is expected to ease off by Sunday for the Fiji group.

An active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over the group, with flash flooding of low lying areas likely, and rain is expected to ease off from tomorrow afternoon.

According to the Duty Forecaster, he said for the Northern and Western Division, periods of heavy rain will be experienced throughout today and early tomorrow, and is expected to ease off by tomorrow afternoon.

As for the Eastern Division periods of heavy rain should be experienced throughout today and tomorrow, with the situation clearing up on Sunday.
