Most flood affected schools in the Western and Norhern Division are continuing to receive stationery from the Save the Children Fiji.
Chief Executive Officer Chandra Shekhar confirmed their main concentration so far was sending children to school by providing bus fares and stationery.
A total of $56,000 had also been spent on providing bus fares to 1500 students so far.
According to Shekhar they have also paid $56,000 to various schools to cater for 1500 students’ lunch.
Looking at school fees and uniforms, Shekhar said their main concentration now is to pay the affected students fees.
He added a total of ten schools in the Western Division have so far been provided with school fees but other schools are now being looked at.
Meanwhile, Shekhar also confirmed that they have so far spent $350,000 of the $600,000 that was collected in the flood appeal.
