Water has receded in the Western Division and this has seen a few strategic roads been given the all clear by Police.

The Lautoka Police Command Centre said that rain has ceased in many towns in the Western Division.

In Rakiraki, rain has stopped with strong winds dying down. Police have also revealed that flood waters have receded in the area apart from the FSC and Qalau Roads.

The town had been given the all clear by Police who said people can now access the area as the road has been opened.

In Sigatoka, there is no more rain and strong winds. However, the Kavanagasau Bridge, Raiwaqa Bridge and the Yalava flats are under a metre of flood waters with the main road in town accessible.

In Nadi, if people are travelling to Nadi Airport from Suva they will face difficulty as the Nadi back road from San Bruno is under a foot of water.

Meanwhile, if you are travelling to Lautoka from Nadi, please note that the road from the Namotomoto Bridge is under a foot of water.

They also added that the town is still without electricity with power supply only to Police Station Road.

In Ba, rain has ceased and Police say that the strong winds have also stopped. In town flood waters have receded and people will be able to go through town.

The Namosau Road is still under 2 feet of water as well as the Koronubu flats and the Yalalevu flats as well.

The Ba to Lautoka Road is also clear.

Meanwhile, Police in the North have revealed that flood waters in Labasa have receded however they are still experiencing very strong winds.
