Sigatoka police has confirmed that about 15 houses in Korotogo, Sigatoka, are under flood waters.
Police received information around 9am that heavy rainfall early this morning caused flash flooding in this area. Occupants of these houses have moved to higher ground.
Meanwhile, a bridge in Navula has also broken and the Valley Road has been closed to all traffic.
It has been confirmed by the Divisional Roads Engineer Western that due to flooding in Lautoka, Drasa Dam Road, Vuda Back Road, Navula Road, Vaivai Road and Saru Back Road are all closed to traffic.
Vutuni Bridge in Ba is also under 3 metres of water.
Police said light showers still continue.
A flash flood warning has been issued by the Nadi Weather Office as a low pressure system lies over Viti Levu.
Weather forecasters said occasional heavy falls and strong winds may continue throughout today in the central/eastern and western division.
People living in low-lying areas have been urged to take precaution.
The low pressure system may affect Vanua Levu and eastern parts of the group from tomorrow.
