Flood waters in Rewa river is receding.
The Joint Operations Command Center at the Central Police Station had confirmed that they have seen flood waters going down in the last hour however some areas are still flooded.
Senior DISMAC officer Aisea Quminakelo said water levels are receding in Nausori and other areas in Rewa however DISMAC officials will carry out a thorough assessment later this morning.
Quminakelo said they will also assess the situation in Labasa soon.
He also said people need to assess the situation whether their areas are safe before they decide to go to work this morning.
